Critical Alignment Props

Unique to North America, this program uses Critical Alignment props and techniques as the foundation of our yoga practice.

  • Learn to use these incredible props to their full potential.
  • Focus on postural alignment, anatomy and biomechanics. These are topics we take very seriously.
  • Understand the forces and load of yoga asana and the affects on the human body.

Practice Intelligent Movement

Part of your success as a teacher depends on your personal practice so we invite you to be an active member of our studio.

The more deeply you feel your body, the more fully you'll understand your asana, the better teacher you'll be.

  • Get feedback on your yoga practice by attending studio classes
  • Registration includes a 6 month virtual studio pass 
  • Participants are required to attend a minimum of 20 in studio classes

Teach With Confidence

Get plenty of practical, real-life teaching experience with our studio teachers in mentorship-style relationships.

  • Shadow studio teachers.
  • Assist studio teachers and teach segments of their classes.
  • Get feedback and support on your teaching.

Sunday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Student Commitments


Students will be provided  an unlimited studio card and free access to online practice videos.

  • 200 hour participants attend at least 20 classes over the training period.

Option 2: Monthly Payments

$400 non-fundable deposit paid upon registration. Remaining cost is paid monthly over the length of the course. Payments taken no later than the Friday night of each training. Balance must be cleared no later than December 30th.

"I first became interested in taking the 200 hr Critical Alignment Teacher Training after I was introduced to the method several years ago. Through my own research and practice; as well as talking to a few friends who are yoga teachers, I decided that Danielle’s training was the best fit in terms of my expectations and what I wanted to gain out of a teacher training including alignment and mobility.

My main interest though was learning how to effectively and safely use the CAT props. As someone with chronic back and shoulder pain (due to scoliosis), I can say that the mobility, coordination and strength work that can be executed on these specialized props has made my body more resilient and strong.

Specifically, when my shoulder and back pain creep up occasionally, my body can heal quicker due to the strength and healthy movement patterns I have acquired while practicing with Danielle.

The 200 hr Teacher Training curriculum covers a breadth of topics including postural alignment, anatomy, biomechanics, yoga traditions and overall intelligent movement. All the latter were so thoroughly and carefully taught by Danielle and guest teachers. Her approach to movement, anatomy and yoga asana is eye-opening and makes you look at the human body in a totally different (and positive) way. It is truly an amazing experience.

It's been 3 years since I graduated from the Critical Alignment Teacher Training and I still attend classes regularly at Back to Mobility (formerly Yoga Therapy and Bodywork).  The calm, welcoming and supportive energy of the studio creates a community-feel. As a result, my knowledge of this system of yoga continuously grows.  The instructors are all creative and innovative. Each class I learn something new about my body such as its preference patterns or tension in specific areas. Also, the precise instruction allows me to move confidently and comfortably.
