This teacher training yoga intensive includes a week of adult yoga day camp. In this camp we will be joined by Tanya Lee from Body Art Motion and Tanis Fishman from the School of Sankalpa and Sacred Nidra.

Yoga teacher trainers must teach a 75 minute class at the end of the training.
Final written exam. Multiple choice, short and long answer.

Danielle Pechie has been teaching and practicing Critical Alignment Yoga for 21 years. She is a widely recognized as a thought leader, with 33 years of yoga, athletic therapy, Rolfing , biomechanics and massage study under her belt.

"The strength of this Yoga Teacher Training lies in Danielle’s profound understanding of human movement and biomechanics as well as her ability to communicate and teach this knowledge. She is A TEACHER of teachers. Yoga is her backbone but she also embraces other forms of movement and she sees and cultivates the potential in others.
The training is based on Critical Alignment Yoga and Therapy which branches from Iyengar Yoga. You will be introduced to props that will make evident the load history of your body and you will learn to see that in others. You will also learn alignment principles that make movement more efficient and sustainable in time.
As a Stott Pilates and fitness instructor myself, I was mind blown on some occasions and reassured by what I knew on other occasions. The training is quite comprehensive and it has guest teachers that are very good and experienced in their specific fields.
If you just want to learn an asana syllabus and preformed sequences, this is not the training for you. Here, you will learn how asana makes sense for each individual. You will learn how to meet your students where they are at and you will be shown a path to self-awareness and connection to your true self. Embracing it is yours to do."

"I first became interested in taking the 200 hr Critical Alignment Teacher Training after I was introduced to the method several years ago. Through my own research and practice; as well as talking to a few friends who are yoga teachers, I decided that Danielle’s training was the best fit in terms of my expectations and what I wanted to gain out of a teacher training including alignment and mobility.
My main interest though was learning how to effectively and safely use the CAT props. As someone with chronic back and shoulder pain (due to scoliosis), I can say that the mobility, coordination and strength work that can be executed on these specialized props has made my body more resilient and strong.
Specifically, when my shoulder and back pain creep up occasionally, my body can heal quicker due to the strength and healthy movement patterns I have acquired while practicing with Danielle.

It's been 3 years since I graduated from the Critical Alignment Teacher Training and I still attend classes regularly at Back to Mobility (formerly Yoga Therapy and Bodywork). The calm, welcoming and supportive energy of the studio creates a community-feel. All instructors are easy to approach before or after class where they welcome questions and/or feedback.
As a result, my knowledge of this system of yoga continuously grows. The instructors are all creative and innovative.
