Critical Alignment Props- Provided

Unique to North America, this program uses Critical Alignment props and techniques as the foundation of our yoga practice.

  • Learn to use these incredible props to their full potential.
  • Focus on postural alignment, anatomy and biomechanics. These are topics we take very seriously.
  • Understand the forces and load of yoga asana and the affects on the human body.

Practice Intelligent Movement

Part of your success as a teacher depends on your personal practice, as the saying goes- practice practice- all is coming.

The more deeply you feel your own body, the more fully you will  understand  asana and the better you will teach.

  • Get ongoing feedback from your classes once you are working.
  • Registration includes a one year virtual studio pass 
  • Participants are required to take notes on 10 online studio classes, prior to attending the training.

Teach With Confidence

Get plenty of practical, real-life teaching experience  by teaching from week 1 of our training.

  • Learn different ways of adjusting postures
  • Deeply understand the reason for adjusting
  • Learn proper body mechanics while assisting students.
  • Experience how to sequence classes based on movement connections.

Practical Matters

This teacher training yoga intensive includes a week of adult yoga day camp. In this camp we will be joined by Tanya Lee from Body Art Motion and Tanis Fishman from the School of Sankalpa and Sacred Nidra.

Final Practicum

Yoga teacher trainers must  teach a 75 minute class at the end of the training.


Final Exam

Final written exam. Multiple choice, short and long answer.

Danielle Pechie has been teaching and practicing Critical Alignment Yoga for 21 years. She is a widely recognized as a thought leader, with 33 years of yoga, athletic therapy, Rolfing , biomechanics and massage study under her belt.

"I first became interested in taking the 200 hr Critical Alignment Teacher Training after I was introduced to the method several years ago. Through my own research and practice; as well as talking to a few friends who are yoga teachers, I decided that Danielle’s training was the best fit in terms of my expectations and what I wanted to gain out of a teacher training including alignment and mobility.


My main interest though was learning how to effectively and safely use the CAT props. As someone with chronic back and shoulder pain (due to scoliosis), I can say that the mobility, coordination and strength work that can be executed on these specialized props has made my body more resilient and strong.


Specifically, when my shoulder and back pain creep up occasionally, my body can heal quicker due to the strength and healthy movement patterns I have acquired while practicing with Danielle.


The 200 hr Teacher Training curriculum covers a breadth of topics including postural alignment, anatomy, biomechanics, yoga traditions and overall intelligent movement.
